285 Hawkenbury Bus Service Saved

Following a dedicated campaign and a real community effort, we are pleased to announce that the 285 Hawkenbury Bus route has been saved. Special thanks go to Greg Clark MP, our Park Ward councillors, in particular Cllr. Nick Pope, Friends of Hawkenbury Rec, and Sherborne Residents Association who worked tirelessly campaigning with e-petitions and many discussions with officers of KCC, bus operators, AXA, Berkeley Homes and TWBC. The service was nearly lost because of declining passenger numbers, so the clear message is, if you value the 285 Bus then please use it and encourage others to as well.
