Hawkenbury Farm phased construction plan published
Berkeley Homes have submitted their phased construction development plans to the council. The council have published them on their website and members of the public can comment on it. The link is at the bottom of this article.
Construction of the first house in the development should commence on 5 March 2018 and the final home in phase 6 is due for completion on 8 September 2021.
The construction is broken down into six phases. The first phase will be at the top of the site and will include the entrance to the development. This will then move round to phase 2, which will be the construction of the homes along Hawkenbury Road, down towards Highview and Grove Haven. This will fill in the area between Hawkenbury Road and the school site. The last phase will be the development of homes at the back of Maryland Road.
Other dates to note are the demolition of the two houses on Maryland Road. These will be demolished by 8 December 2017.
Before the phased construction work starts, Berkeley Homes will complete enablement works in the area. This will include the new pavements, pedestrian crossings and other infrastructure changes in the area. We will follow up on this as the works proceeds. We have made comments to the council regarding the pedestrian crossings and other road works in the area. The construction graph is not clear and difficult to read, but I will try and get a better copy from the Council.
