Public consultation on Hawkenbury Farm planning proposals
Please note that there is a final consultation today by Berkeley Homes on the development on Hawkenbury Farm. It runs from 10am this morning until 1pm this afternoon. Please let family know.
Feedback from the first meeting on Thursday was mixed and judging by the amount of people congregated around the Transport Consultant, this would appear to be the biggest area of concern. With access to the school and an access route from the estate onto Hawkenbury Road. A primary access point is on the narrowest part of Maryland Road and this promises to be a hot issue as the consultation moves along.
It would also appear that quite a few residents did not get letters from Berkeley Homes regarding the consultation, so please discuss the consultation with your neighbours, people you meet in the park or just generally out and about. Let us get as many people involved as possible.
There is a website set up by Berkeley Homes where you can see the plans and you comment on what is being proposed. Visit it here.
You can download the slides from the presentation here. This is a PDF and you will need Acrobat Reader to open it.
Please be aware that this is just the initial planning consultation and no building or infrastructure plans have yet been submitted to the council. No doubt, there will be a few more consultations happening as the planning application progresses. If you want to be informed of these meetings and plans, please sign up to our mailing list and we will let you know as things happen.
No 21 Maryland rd we didn’t receive anything only told the day before the consultation started by friend in Maryland road. don’t think Berkeley homes have been far at all they will demolish homes and put in a road next to our house and didn’t even bother to say anything. I have contacted citizens advice bureau, Tunbridge wells b c and Berkeley homes to raise my concerns. I did also mention to them the wild life living on this land which will be no more
