Residential Development on Benhall Mill Road
Countryside Properties are proposing a new residential development on land located to the east of Benhall Mill Road. They are looking for residents feedback on the proposed development and they intend to log a full planning application to build 49 homes on the site.
Countryside Properties intend to submit a full planning application for the erection of 49 residential units together with associated access, parking and landscaping on land located to the east of Benhall Mill Road.
Their public consultation website provides a detailed overview of the development proposals and the opportunity to give us your feedback.
Whilst this area falls within the Wealden District Council, there are potential issues for Hawkenbury residents such as increased traffic on Forest Road into town, further pressure on local schools and doctors surgeries.
If you would like to know more about the development or comment on their proposals, you can visit their web site at http://www.benhallmill.co.uk/
Having suffered several weeks of noise and dust due to the work being carried out in Benhall Mill Road I feel I must register the horrendous vibration being caused by whatever equipment being used. The whole house shakes and it is not beyond the possibility of future structural damage to our houses, wall, roof, floors etc.
Apart from the vibration we understand there are noxious substances being disturbed during recent excavations. This cannot be healthy for residents of Acer Avenue and Cypress Grove.
It is understood work and building is being carried out on ‘land fill’ areas. Can this be potentially safe?
Thanks for the comments. The planning application would have taken the state of the land into consideration and the contractor would have to work in a safe manner. If you have concerns, you will need to contact the planning department at Wealden District Council.
