Novel Coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) and supporting your community
Dear Members,
In the coming weeks the over 70’s will be asked to self-isolate. There is also no doubt people are self-isolating now because they have symptoms such as a new, continuous cough or a fever. The outbreak of novel coronavirus-19 or COVID-19 is going to bring difficult and anxious times for all of us, but in particular those that are vulnerable or high-risk, which includes the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions.
Please can everyone look out for all the elderly folk that live in Hawkenbury. Those of us that can, please check on them, offer to get them food and medicine, books, newspapers, DVD’s.
There are a few long months ahead for us all and as a community we must come together and take care of each other.
There is a support group that has started on Facebook – Tunbridge Wells self-isolation support group, which is a community group of people in Tunbridge Wells who will support people in self-isolation and make sure that nobody goes without.
If you require help then please Email: TWselfisolationgroup@gmail.com or telephone 07796441906 or 01892 280214 if no access to the internet.
Please see attached poster.
The group is also looking for volunteers within the community to help those in need please search for them on Facebook.
Take care everyone and let’s look after each other in these anxious and difficult times.
Kind regards,
Georgina
